Botnavatnet

At the beginning and end of the many ice ages, local glaciers carved out cirques, where we now find Botnavatnet and most of the other bigger lakes in Fitjarfjella. Innermost i Botnavatnet one finds a moraine ridge deposited by a local glacier in the Younger Dryas Period 12 000 years ago. (Svein Nord)
